North East Scotland Mammal Network hosts a variety of in person and online events throughout the year. Below are details of some of events scheduled for the coming months. If you’d like further details, email nesmamnet@nesmamnet.

August 2026
Saturday, 8 August – Members event. A visit to Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve, Gight Wood, to record mammals and their signs. North East Scotland Mammal Network members will have received details by email but please contact us if you haven’t seen the email or would like to know more.
Friday, 14 August – Free public event. Join us for a walk around Seaton Park and along the Riven Don to look for mammals and their signs. As with any wildlife watching, there are no guarantees as to what we might see but we have a good chance of being able to watch Common Seals on the Don and of seeing signs of Badgers, Rabbits, Roe Deer and others. We will stay out until after dark to look for bats along the river in Seaton Park, using bat detectors, and hope to add a few species to bioblitz list. Meet up at Seaton Park car park at 7.30pm.
